Albums of the Week (Issue #5)

December 7th, 2025 -  December 13th, 2025

1) Barbara - Barbara N°2

     Chanson à texte - 1965

This 1965 album only features vocals, cello, piano, accordion, and saxophone. A very simple musical setup for an experience that captures the little joys and sadness in life.

2) Eno - Another Green World

    Art Rock - 1975

A new art rock sound that came before Eno's collaborations with David Bowie and Talking Heads. Blending ambient pieces with some great lyrical tracks, the influence of Eno's 1975 album is a little snowball rolling down the mountain and getting larger.

3) Dog Faced Hermans - Hum of Life

    Art Punk - 1993

This short but exciting piece of punk music combines different sounds from different cultures and fuses them into an original piece of musical greatness. Though the band was shortly lived, the album meshed genres in flawless fashion that any fan of eccentric music can appreciate.

4) Psykovsky - Da Budet

    Hi-Tech Psytrance - 2009

Pure Electronic Insanity. Not recommended for the night walk back home. Unsettling, surreal, and beautifully unorthodox in design. This is what chaos under control would sound like.

5) Sidney Gish - No Dogs Allowed

    Twee Pop - 2017

Sweet bedroom pop music for the introvert. Lots of fun tunes to cozy up and think of sunsets with.
